Every Chief Executive or MD brings their unique talent and style to the organisation they lead. Some are creative, some financial doctors, some industry gurus, some technical geniuses, some great communicators, some just bring boundless energy and enthusiasm.

Commentators have endlessly debated the critical ingredients that above and beyond our day job, a CEO must bring to their organisation.

The keys to unlock eternal health, wealth and growth.

Here now are my BIG THREE

1. VISION – where are we going…

The CEO sets out the organisation’s deeply desired future and clearly communicates this to all who will help get us there. Also, articulating the ‘magic dust’ which sets us apart.

2. TALENT – who’s going to get us there?

The CEO is the chief talent scout, constantly on the lookout for great new people who will take us to the promised land of our Vision. Then ensure this new talent is welcomed into the organisation, and nurtured, given the wings to fly to great heights.

3. CULTURE – how we act when we’re at our best

The CEO is the custodian of corporate culture, outlawing what does not fit, and nourishing what does, recruiting against these values.  He or she is THE role model, constantly vigilant of breaches and lapses, especially when under great pressure.
