Simon Hazeldine (pictured, right) presented his workshop “Performance Leadership” to members SW London experiential business learning® group, Academy Group 11 recently.
Simon Hazeldine gives a very hard hitting workshop in the area of leadership, performance and persuasion. He delivers this with a maximum of charisma and enthusiasm. Leadership is of course a subject on which The Academy for Chief Executives has very good speakers, but Simon’s treatment of this important subject is unique and filled with learning for all levels of CEOs.
Practical points involved the need for every employee to be engaged in some sort of career development where sharing of intelligence and expertise with the whole team is common place. Humility and honesty must prevail in this sharing process. Enthusiasm and sincerity were at the very height with this speaker and he comes over with great empathy and understanding.
Recognition is another vital part of motivation, followed by job satisfaction, job security, reward and ‘you the manager’. This comes from a number of worldwide surveys on what the 5 great motivators are. He also gave a very useful list of time management ideas which was the centre piece of his workshop.
The five great motivators:-
- Recognition
- Job satisfaction
- Job security
- Reward
- You – the Manager!
All in all, this was an exceptional session and everyone went away feeling that their time was very well spent. Full marks.
