Members of the North East Academy for Chief Executives, Directors Forum 11, recently learned from speaker, John Cremer, how to  “Read someone before you shake  hands“.

John’s brilliant workshop explaining his unique perspective on people ‘type’s’, their traits and personalities – both informative and highly entertaining. The experiential learning session helped us to understand other people’s points of view and motivations and how better to handle individuals.

In summary, the key experiential learning points included:-

  • Breakdown of centuries of key ‘people characteristics’ in order to categorise personality types
  • Better understanding of ourselves and others ‘types’ that can be used to our advantage
  • Deeper understanding of how to interact with different types to yourself
  • Practical system for identifying people ‘types’ before they even open their mouth!
  • Greater acceptance of one’s own personality type
  • Much better understanding of how to react and handle someone prior to opening discussions
  • Grasp of why certain types jell or clash
